Bacon Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 medium onions, chopped
    1/2 (6 oz.) pkg. Canadian-style bacon, chopped (about 1/2 c.)
    2 c. water
    4 medium potatoes, cubed
    3 medium carrots, chopped
    3 stalks celery, chopped
    chopped chives
    1 (12 oz.) can evaporated skim milk
    1/2 c. skim milk
    1 1/2 oz. pkg. butter flavored seasoning mix
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/4 pkg. Idaho mashed potato mix
Preparation
    Boil potatoes, carrots, celery and onions. Cook until tender. Add evaporated skim milk, butter-flavored seasoning, salt, pepper and chives. Simmer 5 minutes. Stir in mashed potato mix. Add Canadian bacon and simmer 30 minutes. You may add more liquid if you prefer. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
