Baked Grits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. water
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. grits
    1 stick oleo
    1 or 2 cans chopped chili peppers
    1 lb. grated sharp Cheddar cheese (use more if you like)
    1 egg, beaten
Preparation
    Cook first 4 ingredients by adding grits to boiling water containing salt and oleo.
    Turn down to low and cook for 5 to 8 minutes (add milk to thin if necessary).
    Add chili peppers, grated cheese and beaten egg.
    Stir and cover.
    Cook at 325\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
