Scalloped Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1/4 c. butter
    1/4 c. flour
    2 1/2 c. milk
    5 large potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced (5 c.)
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    To make sauce, cook onion in butter until tender, but not brown.
    Stir in flour, salt and pepper.
    Add milk.
    Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly.
    Cook and stir 1 to 2 minutes more. Remove from heat.
