Mexican Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. corn meal
    1 c. buttermilk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 tsp. soda
    1 (8 oz.) can whole kernel corn
    2 eggs
    1 small onion, chopped
    1/4 c. oil
    2 jalapeno peppers, chopped
    1/4 lb. mild Cheddar cheese, grated
    1/4 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
Preparation
    Combine ingredients, except cheese.
    Heat oil in heavy skillet. Pour in half of batter.
    Sprinkle 1/2 of cheese over batter.
    Pour in remaining batter and top with cheese.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
