Cool Cherry Jello Surprise - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 yellow cake mix
1 box cherry Jell-O
Cool Whip
2 (8 oz.) cans cherry pie filling

Preparation

Prepare cake according to the normal directions and bake. While the cake is still warm, prepare Jell-O, using 1 cup of boiling water and 1 cup of ice cubes.
With a meat fork, punch holes in cake and pour Jell-O over cake.
Cool the cake.
After cooling, spread Cool Whip over cake and top with cherry pie filling.
Refrigerate and serve cold.
