Divinity Fudge - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. sugar
2/3 c. white Karo syrup
1/3 c. water
2 egg whites, well beaten
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 c. chopped walnuts (optional)
1/3 c. walnut halves (optional)
Preparation

Pour sugar, syrup and water in a pan.
Boil until it spins a thread or forms a hard ball when dropped in cold water.
Remove from heat, then fold in a little of the egg whites.
Repeat until you have used all the egg whites.
Add vanilla and chopped nuts, if desired.
Beat until mixture becomes stiff.
Pour into greased pan or dish immediately.
Garnish with walnuts, if desired.
Cool.
