Oatmeal-Raisin Scoties - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. raisins
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. plain flour
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
    2 c. oatmeal
Preparation
    Cover raisins with water; cook and cool overnight.
    Cream together sugar, shortening and eggs.
    Then add 8 tablespoons juice off raisins and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
    Mix together flour, cinnamon, baking powder, salt and soda.
    Then add to first mixture and mix well.
    Last, add raisins (drained) and oatmeal.
