I Fought The Slaw And The Slaw Won - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. cabbage
    3 ribs celery
    1 onion
    1 green pepper
    3 small carrots
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. vegetable oil
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Shred cabbage, chopped celery, onion, pepper and carrots. Sprinkle with sugar and mix well.
    Bring vinegar, oil, celery seed and salt to a boil.
    Pour over cabbage mixture and chill overnight.
