Beef Birds - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. thin round steak
2 stalks celery, minced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 medium onion, minced
1 tsp. capers, drained
1/2 tsp. each: pepper, thyme and olive oil
1 egg, beaten
3 Tbsp. mustard
6 slices crisp bacon, crumbled
3 Tbsp. butter
3 chicken bouillon cubes, crushed
Preparation

Pound steak, cut into 3 x 4-inch pieces.
Combine ingredients, except mustard.
Spread mustard on steak pieces, then add filling. Roll up and fasten with toothpicks.
Brown in butter, then simmer with bouillon cubes and 2 cups water for 45 minutes.
Serve with mashed potatoes or rice.
