Mexican Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. mashed potatoes
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/4 c. sliced green onions
1 lb. ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/4 c. sliced olives
2 to 3 tsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1 c. shredded Cheddar or Jack cheese
Preparation

Heat oven to 425\u00b0.
Grease pie plate.
Stir egg and green onions into mashed potatoes and press into pie plate evenly across and up sides.
Bake 20 to 25 minutes, until light brown.
Cook beef and drain.
Stir in remaining ingredients, except cheese. Cover and cook over low heat 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Spoon into potato shell and sprinkle with cheese.
Bake 2 to 3 minutes more.
Garnish with sour cream, tomato, avocado and lettuce.
