Pimento Cheese Spread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small can evaporated milk
    1/2 lb. cheese, shredded
    1 small jar pimentos, mashed
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. granulated sugar
    1 heaping Tbsp. mayonnaise
Preparation
    Place milk in top of a double boiler.
    Just as the water in the bottom of the boiler begins to boil, add cheese to milk.
    When it starts to thicken, remove from heat.
    Store in the refrigerator.
