Cherry Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. butter
    2/3 c. sugar
    2 c. flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. cherries
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    2 1/2 c. boiling water
    1 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt together working in butter and adding water to make soft dough.
    Put in buttered pan and cover with remaining ingredients.
    Bake for 1 hour in moderate oven.
