Red Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    red cabbage
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 peeled, cored and sliced apple
    1 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Cut red cabbage into bite size pieces.
    Add sugar, apple and salt.
    Put into large saucepan, cover with boiling water and cook for 1 hour.
    Then add vinegar and cook one more hour.
