Lemon Sponge Pies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. granulated sugar
    4 eggs
    6 Tbsp. flour
    1 c. margarine or butter
    3 c. milk
    3 lemons (juice of 3 and grate 2)
Preparation
    First beat
    egg
    whites until stiff; set aside.
    Then I cream shortening;
    add
    sugar
    and
    egg yolks, lemon juice and rind. Add
    milk,\tthen
    sprinkle flour over the top and blend into liquid
    mixture.
    Last
    of\tall
    add egg whites.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 40\tto 45 minutes.\tCheck on them as I find sometimes they will brown more quickly.
