Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 large lettuce
    1 large cucumber
    1 c. celery
    1 large green pepper
    1 large onion
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen English peas (canned peas may be used if drained)
    1 pt. mayonnaise
    3 boiled eggs
    4 oz. Cheddar cheese
    8 slices cooked bacon (bacon bits may be used)
    1 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Chop the first 5 items.
    Place in layers in 9 x 13-inch pan or dish.
    Sprinkle peas over first five items.
    Spread mayonnaise and sprinkle sugar over mayonnaise.
    Slice eggs over mayonnaise. Cover with grated cheese.
    Add bacon bits.
    Cover and refrigerate overnight.
