Grandma Barb'S Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    2 Tbsp. melted shortening
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. milk
Preparation
    In a bowl, sift together flour, salt and baking powder.
    Add 1/2 cup milk. Mix until forms a soft dough.
    Blend in melted shortening. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto boiling soup.
    Cover tightly and steam without lifting cover for 12 to 15 minutes.
