Boeuf En Daube - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 slices bacon
2 lb. sirloin steak, cubed
1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1 clove crushed garlic
1/2 c. bouillon
1 c. red wine
dash of salt
3 onions, quartered
3 carrots, sliced
4 peppercorns
4 cloves
1 bay leaf
Preparation

Cook bacon until crisp, remove and crumble into small pieces. Dredge meat in flour seasoned with salt and pepper.
Brown meat on all sides with garlic in bacon fat.
Add bouillon, wine and a dash of salt; bring to a boil and remove from heat.
Transfer into casserole, add vegetables, herbs and bacon.
Cover and bake at 350\u00b0 until fork-tender (1 1/2 to 2 hours).
Yields 4 to 6 servings.
