Congo Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. butter or oleo
    1 lb. brown sugar
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    2 2/3 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 eggs
    1 c. nuts (if desired)
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Cream the butter and sugar together.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well.
    Sift dry ingredients together and add to egg-sugar mixture.
    Add chocolate chips and nuts.
    Mix and spread in greased 10 x 15-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
    Cut into squares.
