Butterscotch Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. dark Karo syrup
    1/2 c. butter (no substitute)
    2 Tbsp. boiling water
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
Preparation
    Boil together sugar, syrup, butter and water until brittle stage (300\u00b0).
    Add vinegar and stir hard.
    Pour into a buttered pan and mark in squares with a knife when slightly cool and not hard.
