Granny'S Caramel Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 eggs (save 2 egg whites)
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. milk, scalded
3 Tbsp. flour (heaping)
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 stick margarine
pinch of salt
Preparation

Beat eggs.
Add flour and 1 cup sugar.
Add milk.
Cook a few minutes and set aside.
Caramelize 1/2 cup sugar and add part of the cooked mixture to the caramelized sugar.
Mix well and then pour the remaining cooked mixture in.
Finish cooking until thick enough for pie filling.
Beat 2 egg whites until stiff and add 3 tablespoons brown sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
Pour on top of pie and bake at 325\u00b0 until brown.
