Easy White Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    1 3/4 c. sugar
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 eggs
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients into bowl.
    Add shortening and 1 cup milk; beat for 1 minute.
    Scrape bowl.
    Add eggs, remaining 1/2 cup milk and vanilla; beat for 1 minute, or until smooth.
    Grease and flour 2 (8 or 9-inch) cake pans.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 35 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean.
