Cherry Cheese Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. (1 1/2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. plus 2 to 4 Tbsp. Martha White all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 c. cherry preserves
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan. Cream butter and sugar with electric mixer in large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
Add one egg and beat well.
Stir in 1 1/2 cups flour and salt until well blended.
Reserve 1 cup of mixture into prepared pan (dust fingers with flour for easier handling). Bake 15 minutes.
