Butter Toffee - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. water
1/4 c. chopped black walnuts
3 small (not miniature) plain Hershey bars
1/2 c. chopped black walnuts
Preparation

Put butter, sugar, salt and water in a heavy saucepan over medium heat.
Cook to light crack stage or 285\u00b0 on candy thermometer.
Add 1/4 cup nuts.
Pour out on well buttered jelly roll pan. While still hot, lay the Hershey bars on it.
When they are melted, spread out evenly and sprinkle on rest of nuts.
When cooled, break in pieces.
