Butter Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar (some like 2 c. white and 1 c. brown)
    6 large eggs
    1 lb. butter
    4 c. plain flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 small can crushed pineapple
    6 oz. frozen coconut
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. allspice
    1 1/2 qt. pecans
    1 1/2 lb. cherries
    1 1/2 lb. crystallized pineapple
    1 lb. raisins
Preparation
    Line 2 baking pans and grease.
    Prepare fruit (cut as desired).
    Use about 3/4 cup flour to coat fruit.
    Decrease the flour in the batter by this amount.
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add eggs.
    Add crushed pineapple.
    Add spices and flour.
    The coconut is mixed with the fruit.
    Pour batter over fruit and mix well in large container.
    Place in baking pan and bake in preheated oven. Bake at 225\u00b0 for 3 1/2 hours.
    Do not overbake.
    Place a pan of water in the oven and keep water in container during the time the cake is baking.
