Wheat Hearts Pancakes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 egg
1 c. buttermilk
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil or melted shortening
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. uncooked wheat hearts cereal
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Beat egg, then beat in remaining ingredients in order given, sifting the dry ingredients.
Grease griddle and when hot, add batter for pancakes.
Turn pancake as soon as puffed and full of bubbles and before bubbles break.
Makes 10 (4-inch) golden brown cakes.
