Meltaways - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 c. butter, softened
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. maple flavor extract
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. pecan halves
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Mix flour, butter, sugar, maple and salt at low speed; increase to medium.
    Beat until light and fluffy.
    Drop dough by teaspoons about 1-inch apart on cookie sheet.
    Gently press pecan half into top of cookie.
    Bake 12 minutes until browned.
