Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. oatmeal
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1/4 lb. (1/2 c.) butter or margarine
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. mace (optional)
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    In a separate bowl, pour the boiling water over the oatmeal. Mix the brown sugar, granulated sugar, butter or margarine and eggs and cream together.
    Beat in the vanilla, oatmeal mixture, flour, baking soda, cinnamon, mace (optional) and salt. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes at 350\u00b0 in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
