Almond Crust Cherry Cream Pie - cooking recipe

1 baked pie shell
1/2 cup slivered almonds, finely chopped
15 oz. condensed milk
1/3 cup lemon juice
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1/2 cup whipping cream, whipped
Preparation

Add nuts to pie shell. If using prepared fruit, mix in; bake. Combine condensed milk, lemon juice, vanilla and almond extract. Stir until thickened. Fold in whipped cream (or Cool Whip) into cooled shell. Top with cherry pie filling. Chill 2-3 hours.
