Coffee Can Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yeast
    1/2 c. warm water
    1/8 tsp. ginger
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 large can evaporated milk
    1 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. salad oil
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1 c. flour
    1/2 c. raisins
Preparation
    Grease 2 (1 pound) coffee cans with lids, too.
    Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water in a large bowl.
    Blend in ginger and 1 tablespoon sugar.
    Let stand 15 minutes.
    Stir in 2 tablespoons sugar, evaporated milk, salt and salad oil.
    With mixer on low, beat in 3 1/2 cups flour, 1 cup at a time, mixing well.
    Beat in 1 more cup flour with heavy spoon (4 1/2 cups in all).
    Add raisins, if desired.
