Tamale Pie Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. oil
1 clove garlic
2 onions, chopped
1 to 2 lb. ground beef
1 green pepper, chopped
salt and pepper to taste
1 1/2 c. yellow cornmeal
1 can creamed corn
1 (No. 2 1/2) can tomatoes or 3 c. tomato juice
3 eggs (unbeaten)
1 Tbsp. chili powder
1 to 2 c. ripe olives
2 c. milk
Preparation

Fry onions and garlic slowly in oil until tender.
Add meat and brown quickly.
Add green pepper, then remaining ingredients. Mix well.
Pour into a large (3-quart),
greased casserole or baking dish (13 x 9-inch).
Bake at 250\u00b0 for about 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until firm.
Serves 10 to 12.
