Betty'S Orange B-Day Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. cake flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
2/3 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
3 eggs
grated orange rind (1 to 1 1/2 Tbsp.)
2/3 c. orange juice
Preparation

Sift flour; measure and add baking powder.
Cream shortening; add sugar gradually.
Add unbeaten eggs, 1 at a time.
Add orange rind.
Add dry ingredients alternately with orange juice, stirring only enough after each addition to blend thoroughly.
Do not beat. Bake 8-inch layers 25 minutes at 375\u00b0; cupcakes for 15 minutes at 375\u00b0; loaf cake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
Frost when cool with orange frosting.
