Go Further Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 cup butter or margarine
    1 1/2 squares chocolate
    1 cup sugar
    1 tsp vanilla
    2 eggs
    1 cup sifted flour
    1/2 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/2 cup chopped nuts
Preparation
    Melt shortening and chocolate together in a 2 quart saucepan. Remove from heat.
    Stir in the sugar and vanilla.
    Beat in the eggs, one at a time.
    Sift flour, salt and baking powder into the chocolate mixture and mix thoroughly.
    Add the nuts.
    Pour into a greased 9 X 13 inch pan.
    Cool and cover with fudge frosting.
