Saucy Franks With Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 bacon strips, uncooked
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/3 c. chopped green pepper
    1/3 c. chopped celery
    2 minced garlic cloves
    1 c. pineapple juice
    3/4 c. catsup
    1/4 tsp. chili powder
    1 lb. hot dogs or Lil Smokies
    hot cooked rice to serve 8
Preparation
    Cook bacon until crisp.
    Drain on paper towel.
    Reserve 1 tablespoon drippings and saute onion, green pepper, celery, and garlic until tender in saved drippings.
    Add bacon.
    Add pineapple juice, catsup, and chili powder.
    Bring to a boil.
    Add cut up hot dogs or smokies and simmer covered 5-8 minutes.
    Serve over rice.
