Macaroni With Cheese - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 c. water
    4 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. olive oil
    1/2 lb. macaroni
    1/4 lb. (4 oz.) butter
    1/2 c. flour
    2 tsp. salt
    1 qt. (4 c.) milk
    1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese, shredded
Preparation
    While macaroni is boiling, prepare the sauce as follows: In saucepan, melt butter slowly.
    Blend in flour and salt.
    Add milk gradually and stir with a wooden spoon over moderate heat until mixture boils and thickens.
    Remove from heat.
