Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 tsp. cocoa
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. vinegar
    2 oz. red food color
Preparation
    Mix baking soda and vinegar.
    Sit a minute.
    Add cocoa and red food coloring, then set aside.
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs, vanilla and buttermilk; mix.
    Add flour and salt.
    Mix.
    Add red mixture.
    Mix.
    Pour into greased floured pans.
    Bake for 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
