Fresh Sourdough Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. salt
    2 c. Sourdough Starter (follows)
    2 or 3 Tbsp. shortening
Preparation
    Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a large bowl; add starter. Mix to make firm dough. Add water, if needed. Cover and let rest 5 minutes. Keep adding equal amounts of water and all-purpose flour to keep starter going. After adding, let sit overnight before using.
