Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1 egg, beaten
    1 c. milk
    3 Tbsp. melted shortening
Preparation
    Mix and sift dry ingredients.
    Combine egg, milk and shortening and add to flour mixture, stirring only until mixed. Use tablespoon to dip batter into muffin tins.
    Fill only 2/3 full.
    Bake in hot oven at 450\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes.
    Yields 1 dozen.
