Best Cucumber Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. vinegar
    1/2 c. salt
    2 c. sugar
    3 to 4 lb. medium cucumbers
    celery
    onion slices
Preparation
    Wash and quarter medium cucumbers.
    Soak in ice or real cold water for about 4 to 5 hours.
    Drain and pack in quart jars.
    To each quart, add 3 stalks of celery and 3 slices of onion.
    Boil the vinegar, sugar and salt together for about 5 to 10 minutes. Pour over cucumbers and seal.
