Bean Sausage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. cooked dry beans
    2/3 c. bread crumbs
    1 egg, beaten
    1/2 tsp. sage or savory seasoning
    salt and pepper to taste
    milk
    fine dry crumbs
Preparation
    Mash the beans.
    Mix them well with the bread cubes and egg. Add the seasoning
    and moisten with milk. Shape the mixture in the form of sausage and roll in crumbs.
    Brown in a little hot fat, turning to form a good crust all over.
    Cook slowly, about 20 minutes.
    Makes 4 servings.
