Chewy Caramel Brownies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. packed light brown sugar
1 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 tsp. double acting baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla extract
3/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease and flour 15 1/2 x 10 1/2-inch jelly roll pan.
Into large bowl, measure all ingredients.
With mixer at medium speed, beat ingredients until well mixed, occasionally scraping bowl with rubber spatula.
Evenly spread in pan.
Bake 25 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool brownies in pan 5 minutes.
Cut and with pancake turner, remove to wire rack. Makes 2 1/2 dozen cookies.
