Layer Shortcake(Master Recipe) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. milk
Preparation
    Cream the butter with half the sugar; add remaining sugar gradually, then the well beaten eggs.
    Add flour, salt and baking powder sifted together, alternately with the milk.
    Bake 15 to 20 minutes in 2 greased layer cake pans in a moderately hot oven, 350\u00b0 to 375\u00b0 and put together as directed.
