Checkerboard Cookies(Mrs. Alfred J. Orlidge) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    2/3 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 sq. chocolate, melted and cooled
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients.
    Cream sugar and shortening.
    Add eggs, vanilla and dry ingredients.
    Divide in half.
    Add chocolate to the one half.
