Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/3 c. oil or shortening
1 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Mix dry ingredients. Cut in shortening with a fork or pastry blender. Stir in oil and buttermilk; add a little more flour if too sticky. Handling as little as possible to avoid toughness, roll or pat to 1/2-inch thick and cut with a glass or cutter. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until browned at 450\u00b0. Makes about 12 two-inch biscuits.
