Pumpkin Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 2/3 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/3 c. shortening
1 1/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 c. pumpkin (canned or freshly cooked)
1/3 c. water
1/2 c. pecans (optional)
Preparation

Sift flour, baking powder, soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Cream shortening sugar and vanilla.
Then add one egg at a time, beating thoroughly.
Stir in pumpkin.
Stir in dry ingredients alternating with water until smooth.
Add chopped nuts and pour into prepared pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes or until done.
