Barb'S Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 potatoes, peeled and cubed
    water
    1 tsp. salt
    3 to 5 c. milk
    1/4 lb. Velveeta cheese
    8 oz. Cheddar
    1 onion
    1 lb. bacon
Preparation
    Cover potatoes with water and salt.
    Bring potatoes to boil, then cook on medium heat.
    Cook potatoes and chopped onion until potatoes are tender.
    Add 2 cups milk and cubed or grated cheese. Do not boil.
    When cheese is melted, add rest of milk.
    Cook bacon until crisp.
    Crumble on pot of soup.
    Stir.
    Season to taste with salt and pepper.
