R.I. Clam Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 lb. salt pork, finely chopped
    2 large onions
    1 1/2 qt. boiling water
    6 large thick potatoes
    1 can tomato soup
    16 medium quahogs, cut up (save juice)
Preparation
    Fry salt pork until crisp.
    Saute onions.
    Add to boiling water along with potatoes and tomato soup.
    Cook for 1 1/2 hours. Turn off stove; add quahogs and juice.
