Tomato Soup Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. hot water
    1 egg
    1 can tomato soup (small)
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening together.
    Add water, egg and soup; mix well.
    Add dry ingredients; mix well.
    Stir in walnuts.
    Bake in a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch cake pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
