Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. uncooked rice
    1/3 c. chopped onion
    1/3 c. chopped green pepper
    1 can tomato sauce
    1 tsp. cumin
    1 tsp. Knorr de salsa
    1 tsp. ground black pepper
    2 cloves garlic
    1/2 c. chicken broth
    cooked peas (optional)
    2 1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Fry rice in cooking oil until brown. Add chopped onion and green pepper. Fry about 1 minute.
    Grind cumin and garlic in a spice grinder. Add ground spices, tomato sauce and chicken broth along with 2 1/2 cups boiling water. When all is boiling, cover and lower heat to simmer. Do not stir after this point. Cook until tender. Add peas for color.
