Beef Barley Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 to 4 pieces short ribs of beef
    1 large can Campbell's tomato juice
    2 carrots, minced
    2 stalks celery, diced or minced
    1 medium onion, minced
    handful parsley
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 c. barley
Preparation
    Put short ribs in soup pot.
    Cover ribs with water.
    Bring to boil (do not skim top).
    Reduce heat and add remaining ingredients.
    Cover with lid and simmer 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
    Cook barley separately.
    Drain. Cool, then add to soup.
