Sweet And Sour Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. water
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. red wine vinegar
    1 Tbsp. plus 1 1/2 tsp. soy sauce
    1 can (8 oz.) whole tomatoes, drained and cut up
    1 small bay leaf (optional)
    1 med. onion, chopped
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 Tbsp. cold water
Preparation
    In a small saucepan, combine 1/3 c. water, sugar, vinegar and soy sauce. Heat to boiling. Stir in tomatoes, bay leaf and onion. Return to boiling, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat. Simmer 5 minutes.
